New York City is the largest city in the United States. It is located in the southern part of New York State, at the mouth of the Hudson River (also known as North River as it passes Manhattan Island).

Location: New York City is located at the southern tip of the state of New York, where the Hudson River meets the Atlantic Ocean. It is in the northeastern part of the United States.

Population: 8.36 million people. This makes New York City the most populated city in the United States.
